Problem Note 6590: Previous clipboard contents are pasted after copying from Output window

DetailsAboutRate It

In the Output window, when you place the cursor after the character on the last line, select any text before the last character, copy it to the clipboard, and try to paste what you just copied to the clipboard, you do not get what you just copied. Instead, you get the contents of any previous copy to the clipboard. This also occurs if you select all or part of one of multiple pages.

Also, when you highlight past the last character, the message line at the bottom of the SAS® window displays the following error:

ERROR: You cannot mark in a non-markable area.

To workaround this problem, avoid placing the cursor after the last character of the last line. Instead, place the cursor on the first character on the first line of data. Select through the body of text to the last character of the last line. Then copy and paste it where needed.
